New Family Information

Welcome to Bishop!

We know that you probably have lots of questions. Our hope is that the information on this site will help you better understand what to expect and who to contact if you need assistance.

Checklist to stay informed:

1. Make sure you are registered through the APS Welcome Center
2. If you are a new Kindergarten family, expect to hear from the school in May about orientation. Over the summer, we will send out information for all grades with all the information you need to get started.

4. Connect with a Bishop Ambassador:
   Bishop Ambassadors are Bishop parents that reach out to new Bishop families and welcome them to our community. Ambassadors typically contact new families via email in July/August. Connecting with an existing Bishop family helps new families answer questions, meet kids before school, and helps to get acclimated to Arlington and/or Bishop. If, by mid-August you are new to Bishop and have not yet been contacted by a Bishop Ambassador, contact the coordinator, Mary Perry
5. If you are on Facebook, join the corresponding page for your child’s grade to connect with other parents- search Bishop and graduation year. 
6. We will send Bishop Bus Information over the summer on how to sign up if you live on the south side of Mass. Ave.
7. By the middle to end of August you will receive an email notification of who your child's teacher is and they will reach out to the class.
8. At the end of summer, Ms. Nikki will send you log-in information for a Powerschool Parent Portal.
