Visitor CORI Requirement

All visitors to Arlington Public Schools must complete a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) form before visiting or volunteering. CORI forms are a state mandated background check for anyone who may have direct and unmonitored contact with children. You need to complete this process if you want to visit a classroom during the school day, chaperone field trips, or volunteer at school events (such as classroom parties, the play, or field day).

Background checks are valid for three years from the date of approval. Since different standards may apply in other locations, background checks conducted for jobs and volunteering outside of APS are not sufficient. 

This process helps us maintain a safe and secure environment for our students.

Please submit your CORI form (attached below) to the main office at least two weeks in advance of your planned visit to allow time for processing. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Nikki.
